Decon V4 is the ultimate wheel and paint cleaner that removes ferromagnetic particles and corrosive deposits that have built up over time. Harmful particles such as iron penetrate the paint and wheels of your car and over time can cause damage that is not always visible to the eye. Iron deposits from brake dust have traditionally been difficult to remove, especially on wheels. Devon V4 is good to use on paint before the clay phase as it removes a significant amount of contaminants that are often present on the surface. This is also beneficial to reduce the risk of scratches.
It reacts with iron deposits and changes color as it begins to bind within seconds, highlighting contaminants as it penetrates these deposits. It eventually forms a liquid that can be easily rinsed with water (pressure washer) to remove it from the surface.
Decon V4 is safe (pH neutral) to use on all paint, wheels (painted, polished and anodized) and glass surfaces. Simply spray a light mist, let it set for 5-10 minutes to change color and then simply rinse and dry with a microfiber cloth. For stubborn dirt, a wheel brush may be necessary. We always recommend testing compatibility before using it on the entire surface.
Instructions:
Test compatibility:
Before using Decon V4 on the entire surface, test the product on a small, inconspicuous area to ensure no adverse reaction or damage occurs.
Preparation:
Make sure the surface to be treated is cool and out of direct sunlight. Rinse loose dirt and dust with water.
Spray:
Spray a light mist of Decon V4 evenly onto the surface you wish to clean. Make sure it is completely covered.
Work-in:
Let Decon V4 work for 5-10 minutes. You will see it change color as it reacts with the iron particles.
Cleaning:
If necessary, use a wheel brush to remove stubborn dirt and brake dust. Brush gently to avoid scratches.
Wash down:
Rinse the treated surface thoroughly with water, preferably using a high-pressure cleaner. Ensure that all product residue is completely removed.
Dry:
Use a clean microfiber cloth to wipe the surface dry and remove any water droplets.
Post-treatment:
If you are satisfied with the result, you can optionally treat the surface with a suitable paint protection or wheel coating.
